Mythmere is putting together a fanzine for this style of game called Knockspell you could just have articlaes of ads in.

In fact, there is a chance of this. I like the cut of your jib and will consider putting something together as I have the time to do so. Depending on how lengthy it is, perhaps a saddle-stitched booklet would do the trick. Please keep us updated on potential timelines for this. I look forward to it greatly. K

So, this may be already listed somewhere - but what'd the status of other's publishing supplements or adventures for S&S. is it something you want to do yourself; have others do through you; or can companies like Brave Halfling Publishing throw out material?

I'm not sure about that. I don't like assuming people have other old books to plug in. It's also been brought to my attention that S&S is in dire (no pun intended) need of regular animal stats. It's probably good not to assume that people have the other books. I'll bet many do - but it's easier if they're already created than to convert no matter how easy conversion may be. Normal animal stats are wise. You could put out a few separate volumes of Bestiary that were even saddle-stitched so people could pick and choose. S&S Animalia, S&S Expanded Mythical Beasts. K

Hi Jason. Hi all. I'm divided on this. I kind of liked the way this was done in BECMI (although a bit half-arsed). But I'd be afraid of going the Prestige Class route. Classes are supposed to broad archtetypes. One optional rule I've toyed with while doing a Holmes/Hackmaster Hybrid was that certain common 'skills' become like abilities - like Swimming, Tracking, etc. I keep it down to half a dozen available options and the player must actually remove points from his attributes to create one of these ability/skills (showing just how much he wants them while keeping the character on par with the other characters instead of making him more powerful). It playtested well, but is certainly far from thoroughly playtested. I think a few one-shot adventures would be great. When I say one-shot, I mean adventures that can be run in one session. Other deeper things will come on their own too. K

Have you put any thought into a showing at a fanzine with S&S? I know Mythmere was talking about starting one, and there's Fight On!
I recently received Fight On! #1 and found it enjoyable. Heck, even if they listed an ad for the game, it might be helpful.

Every time I look at this book I get warm fuzzy feelings. ...maybe I'm just sick, but I like it anyway As for introductions - I'm mostly an LM of Gary Gygax's Lejendary Adventures, but I am also a supporter of this retro-clone and old guard renaissance. I do also like to try weird and new things including old things modified. WW2 also being a nice RPG playground. Y'know I hear some say that Castles & Crusades started it; I would beg to differ that it may have begun with HackMaster 4e. Any faults Kenzer may have, that game seemed to start the ball rolling. I can't speak for those who've undertaken the systems though, and I wouldn't want to. K

You must certainly have a presence at Alive and Out of Print. It's a growing community and while it isn't as large or broad a concept as Dragonsfoot - it is a very friendly board that really wants to support games like yours. See this thread 4 posts down. K

The biggest thing I want to see is a player creation folio type thing with Book 1 and table 1-3 from Book 2 only and a blank character sheet or two. I would buy at least half a dozen of these and replace my softcover of the full rules with a hardcover - giving away the softcover to a needy gamer I think a Folio like this would be a great boon. I have no need to pass around a book to the players with everything else, and I would be happy to have a bunch of extra Folio's so the player's could take them home too. Is there any chance of this? Cause I'm crazy like a fox. In my mind I wanted to see 10 for each, and while I do have a d14, I think d10 is easier. Also, some spells didn't fit with an MU for me. The last thing I want is two classes with Hold person. I do like the Infravision spell though and that was the hardest one to remove from the list. As I said, I'm not trying to change the official rules, just posting my thoughts on how I'll use them. Considering I haven't found anything else I wanted to alter - I think it's pretty sweet.
I've contemplated adding some bells and whistles - I just haven't decided which ones. If I come up with anything solid, I'll present them to you as some sort of optional supplement if you're interested. It may not be worthwhile as the game stands so well as is.
Am I taking important things away with the spells I've removed? Will they just be filled by the new classes you were going to add? Were there better spells to add? I actually really like Feather Fall from 1e - but if Cantrips aren't going to be used, I thought Ventriloquism would be a good spell.

Would you believe the whole thing was laid out using Microsoft Word 2007? No. I'll pretend in my mind it's Openoffice or InDesign for my own sanity. ;D K

Hey, I added you to the Acaeum Wiki as a system and a gamebook. I am supposed to use my own words, so I hope I explained it properly. Other editors may change things anyway. Let me know if there is anything you want me to change or add. K
