In fact, there is a chance of this. I like the cut of your jib and will consider putting something together as I have the time to do so. Depending on how lengthy it is, perhaps a saddle-stitched booklet would do the trick. Please keep us updated on potential timelines for this. I look forward to it greatly. K

Will do. I was doing some work on it this weekend, in fact.

Coming along. I still need to sit down and think about how to go about the player's guide idea. I WAS thinking of releasing all three "volumes" separately as 5.5 x 8 saddle-stitched pamphlets like the original game, but am undecided on that. If I do that I may try and do a small "collector's edition" boxed set run, but that wouldn't be available through Lulu. I would have to do it through somewhere that can print boxes and then figure a way to sell it through my website.
I was working on the sourcebook last week before the dog incident (see the paraphernalia thread) and hope to be back on it soon. When I'm nearing a release I'll let you all know.

The biggest thing I want to see is a player creation folio type thing with Book 1 and table 1-3 from Book 2 only and a blank character sheet or two. I would buy at least half a dozen of these and replace my softcover of the full rules with a hardcover - giving away the softcover to a needy gamer I think a Folio like this would be a great boon. I have no need to pass around a book to the players with everything else, and I would be happy to have a bunch of extra Folio's so the player's could take them home too. Maybe you're looking at this from too complicated a point of view. Could it not be as simple as above? The 3 books is something you can still do later. We only bump and comment because we care. K

The 3 books is every bit as simple as the above, which isn't as easy as you think. I'm mulling it over, but likely the sourcebook will be out before this.

Well, I guess for now, it's just easier to type up my own. It's a great game. Good luck.

Thanks! I'm still hoping to actually get it into distribution. I'd also like to--given the time to really sit down with it--do a set of "Reference Sheets," a la the old White Box set.
I know you're excited about the idea of a "player's guide," and I don't want you to think I'm not hearing you. I am. But splitting it into its three sections and releasing them as saddle-stitched booklets is something I've had in mind since day one of this. My original intent was to release it as a digest-sized boxed set. I just need to work it out.
You'll see it, no worries. It's just a matter of getting it split down while keeping the formatting intact so I don't have to completely lay the whole thing out all over again.
