The Shadowkith have always been here, so say the native tribes. At very least, we know not when they arrived, how, or why. But from the beginning they have resided at the corners of human consciousness, whispering corruption into the minds of men. But for many thousands of years, the Shadowkith were restricted to the American continents, having no way to spread beyond.
That has all changed.
The beginning of the Darkness came with the discovery and colonization of the Americas in the 16th century. The first victims were, ironically, a group of Spanish Jesuits at Ajacán. Ensnared and duped by a Native boy who had been possessed by the Shadowkith, the Jesuits fell prey to starvation and plundering, and were eventually slaughtered by an Algonquin tribe overcome by the Darkness. Only a single survivor fled to a neighboring tribe to await rescue.
Later, the influence of the Shadowkith grew immensely with the evil that consumed Roanoke in 1590. There was no evidence of a battle, because no battle took place. Rather, the consumption of the colonists by evil was an insidious, quiet affair. Starving, destitute, and desperate, the colonists were perfect targets for the Shadowkith, who infiltrated their minds and turned them to the darkest kind of occult ritual.
Welcome to the dark colonies. Welcome to the world of the Shadowkith.
This game is in the early stages of development now, but will be built off of the core system from Spellcraft & Swordplay.
Stay tuned! Coming Soon!

There are some interesting developments underway, and Elf Lair Games may be taking a big leap by the time Shadowkith is ready to go. More as developments occur.
