I was looking through the bestiary in Vol3 of the Old School Edition and was thinking ...what the heck is that creature on the cover? I don't think it is in the book so it is making me wonder even more. It is really bugging me now as an internet search has failed find anything. I don't even know how to describe it ...beast with large head and human ears?
The cover looks like some medieval or Victorian engraving so I'm guessing a mythological beast mentioned somewhere in history, but it's one I've never seen or heard of. Anyone know what it is please post and let me know. Also if you know the title of piece, where it comes from, or where it can be found let me know, as I'd like to search for similar.
Cheers!

It's from a painting by William Blake. Here's the full painting: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b5/Behemoth3.jpgThe title is "Behemoth;" the creatures are a dragon (on the bottom); the creature on top is not represented in the book; it wasn't easy finding good cover art for that volume that was in the public domain. I probably should've done a writeup for that sucker, as he looks pretty cool...but to be honest, I dropped the ball there. Maybe it's a terrasque
