I just read a passage in Monstrous Mayhem that made me question this.
In S&S Revised, page 51, the paragraph including contested tests says: "if neither result equals 12, the contest is deadlocked..."
Is this supposed to be an 11?
Thanks!

Yes, that one's already been caught.

I missed this because I read the statement in the Faq and Errata thread that said the listed errata was fixed April 11. I purchased my book on PDF on 5/25. Is there a reason I have that errata in my book?
How do I get the update?

Yeah, someone pointed out to us recently that something got screwed up with the PDF and apparently Lulu was using an older version. I have someone doing an extra proofing pass right now before I fix the file once and for all. But there should only be maybe 2 or 3 typos in there (you'll note that the revised edition errata is slim).

Any update on when I can download the corrected PDF?

I don't have a means to make individual free downloads available. You have my apologies, but all I can offer is that the errata are slim enough that you should be able to get them from the errata thread...
Whenever Drivethru/RPGNow get their Print on Demand service up and running we'll be looking into moving to their service, but for now, we're a bit limited.

So let me get this straight. I purchased a product that you certified on this board as clear of the listed errata, and that product was not, in fact, clear of said errata. And I am to believe that you are incapable of clearing up this issue beyond an apology? Are you not in possession of your own PDF to send me a replacement? Am I to believe that Lulu has your original?
I'm perfectly willing to provide proof of purchase. I hope I'm not being simply left in the cold here.

I don't personally know of any companies that make a practice of offering complete replacements for a few typos...that's why they (and we) post errata. That being said, we try to keep people satisfied. I'm sending you a new PDF with apologies for the mix-up.

That being said, we try to keep people satisfied. I'm sending you a new PDF with apologies for the mix-up. I appreciate the PDF. Thank you. But I want to make three things clear, based on my experience. Please understand first that I'm not just trying to get the last word, here. I really like your product, and I think it has potential, which is why I'm bringing this up. 1) I wasn't asking for a replacement; I was asking for the product I paid for, which, according to this site, included the revised errata (I bought it after the date you said the errata had been fixed). 2) PDFs are different than print products. They are in fact designed for such updates. The keyword being "update." It's electronic. It's not like I'm going to have two complete versions sitting on my thumb drive. 3) Most reputable companies that offer PDFs automatically send updates to their customers. To name a few: White Wolf, Pinnacle Entertainment, Green Ronin, Contested Ground Studios, and Catalyst Game Labs. It's probably not a coincidence that three of the listed companies have received ENnies for Fan Favorite Publisher. Thanks for your time.

When they start sending me updated pages with errata included, I'll clap. One of the things I loved with HackMaster 4e was the boxed errata you could print out, cut up and paste or tape into your book without writing anything. They made it fit seamlessly.
